Gauges
Set a pane to Gauges from the type list at its bottom-left corner. See View Layouts.
The gauge pane is a free layout. Values follow the live telemetry stream, including maths channels and constants.
Gauge types
| Type | Display |
|---|---|
| Bar | Filled bar. Direction can be left to right, right to left, top to bottom, or bottom to top |
| Value | Large digital readout. Colour bands colour the number |
| Radial | Circular arc |
| Steering Wheel | Rotating wheel, for steering angle |
| Force | Horizontal and vertical channels drawn as a force vector |
Add and edit
- Add gauge on the gauge-area toolbar, then pick a type.
- Drag a gauge to move it. Drag a corner to resize it.
- Double-click a gauge to set its channel, range, label, and colour bands.
- Lock all gauges / Unlock all gauges stops accidental moves.
- Align gauges to a grid snaps positions while you drag.
- Right-click a gauge and choose Remove. A locked gauge stays until you unlock it. When the pane is scaled to fit, right-click still offers Remove.
Colour bands
Each gauge can have colour bands. For a bar, radial, steering, or force gauge, the band colour follows the channel value. For a Value gauge, the band colour is applied to the digits.
The gauge pane is saved with the window layout in an EmStream configuration file.
