Tables

File β†’ Tables

Tables generate channels from the open log. EmVision looks up each sample from one axis (1D) or two axes (2D) and interpolates between cells. The output channel can be plotted, shown on gauges, and used by math channels.

Results stay in the analysis session. They are not written back into the log file.

Add a table

  1. Open a log, then File β†’ Tables.
  2. Click Add Table and set Name and Output Channel.
  3. Open Axis Setup (A). Assign the X channel. Assign a Y channel as well when the lookup depends on two inputs.
  4. Enter cell values, or generate an axis from a start, step, and maximum.

Right-click a table in the list to Cut, Copy, Paste, or Delete it. Drag the list to reorder. The table toolbar can load and save one table’s configuration.

Editing cells

Select cells, then use the right-click menu or the shortcut:

Copy / paste the whole tableCtrl+Shift+C / Ctrl+Shift+V

Fill and extrapolate are on the same menu (up, down, left, right). A large selection updates immediately, and undo puts that change back in one step.

The same editor runs in Display Studio and EmStream. Axis generate, surface view, and the rest of the grid tools are covered in Tables (Display Studio).

Sharing

File β†’ Export Setup Pack writes maths, user channels, and tables to an .emmtc file. File β†’ Import Setup Pack loads one. EmStream uses the same file. Session constants are a separate YAML export β€” see Session Constants.
